The Gladak House is a genuine antique Javanese timber house, lovingly restored and set among heliconia, ferns and banana palms. Its sculpted clay-tiled roof and carved timber posts speak of another century.
Inside, hand-woven bamboo walls and arched shuttered windows frame the greenery. A private veranda with a moss-edged garden pond makes it a favourite for slow mornings with coffee.
