Mountain to Sea Cycling Adventure

A mostly downhill, scenic ride through some of the most beautiful rice fields and traditional villages in the heart of Tabanan. As you descend, the views shift from cacao and coffee plantations to sweeping, sculpted rice terraces. The ride finishes near Soka beach; helmets and transfers back are included.

Pura Luhur Temple Walk

A walk through protected montane forest, beneath a thick canopy, to the local Bali Hindu temple of Pura Luhur. If the Pemangku (priest) is present, he may perform a short welcome ceremony to the mountain. Return through cacao, coffee and vanilla gardens, sampling cacao pod flesh along the way.

Mount Batukaru Jungle Trek

A forest walk in the Batukaru Nature Reserve for those who want to immerse themselves in the protected montane forest. South-facing and lush with high rainfall, it begins at the mountain temple, where the priest may bless the trek. Watch for remarkable plant life and beautiful butterflies.

Sarinbuana Village & Rice Field Walk

Begin in the traditional village of Sarinbuana — dating to the Bali Aga era, around 1108 AD — and stroll through famous sculpted rice fields to a river for a refreshing dip. Meet locals, visit a Balinese home, and you may even witness the making of gula merah (palm sugar). Don't forget your camera.

Mount Batukaru Summit Trek

Trek the second-highest mountain in Bali, the sacred Mt Batukaru — climbing from 800m to 2,275m. A challenging full day for active trekkers through sensitive rainforest, beginning with a ceremony at the temple. From the summit: mountain peaks, Java to the west and Lombok to the east.

Mount Batukaru Six-Hour Trek

An alternative to the summit trek combining the mountain climb with the rice-field walk. Climb from 800m to around 1,800m — about an hour from the summit — then descend to the rice fields of Sarinbuana to see the subak (traditional water system) and stunning scenery.
