Welcome
Nestled high on the eastern slopes of Mount Batukaru.
Bali Mountain Retreat is a guesthouse and eco-retreat centre in Central Bali. Being situated in this traditional area, our guests are given a unique experience with the local Balinese people and their culture.
You will welcome the refreshing mountain air, clean spring-fed water and panoramic views that stretch all the way to the coast. Enjoy walking through the terraced rice fields or into the forest to a sacred Hindu temple — or simply relax, unwind and take in the natural beauty of the landscape.
We cater for individuals, couples, families and group bookings such as weddings or retreats — and pride ourselves on being culturally and environmentally sensitive.

Yayasan Bali Kharisma
A foundation supporting Bali's recovery through the preservation of social traditions, music and environmental projects — including a school that teaches dance and programmes in meditation and spiritual awareness.
Musikaal Studio
Home to a growing recording library of traditional Balinese music. Proceeds from sales go back into the project, ensuring the continuation of future recordings.
Sarinbuana Drama Group
Supporting a newly formed group reviving 'Arja' — traditional Balinese drama at risk of dying out in the local village, and an important part of Balinese culture.
